Great post, Gary.

One thing to add about the exercise tip.

There is one exercise that people already do alot without reaping the benefits: walking. Simply increasing your pace can have amazing benefits. Not only that, but you will get where you're going faster, and you'll exude more confidence (and feel it, too)

I also blogged about stress-killing on my site but with a somewhat different spin:

@ben

Your comments always add value.

Reminds me of "The destination is not important, it is meaningless without the adventure and the journey of getting there."

I dig your vibe there Gary I really do, Stress is a killer for many people. Particularly in our industry. It happens a lot, because "my son built a website just last night, how hard could it be?".

And then at Enterprise level, where the complexities are mind boggling..."don't designers just make it look pretty?" and my personal favorite... "I know my end clients intimately! just ask me about them I'll tell you what they need"..."So, what services do they need?"..."Well in our organisations business strategy, we plan to give them a ......".

The biggest thing that actually changed my professional life was these two things.

"Seek not perfection. When you are perfect...there is nothing higher, which means you'll stop at some point.

Instead seek progress, the potential of progress is unlimited." (Pat Parelli)

&

"Enjoy what you do, and do what you enjoy. Don't chase the classic success measure, your value system is yours, fulfill that and you'll be free".

I manage my stress with those two quotes as my guides.

Hope this adds value to your post.
