Micro blog, post links, allow comments, group contacts. The only serious difference is the scrolling timeline, which seems to be a bit of a love/hate thing. I'm drifting pretty fast to the "hate it" camp. I had the same reaction to the karma points - they irked me rather than feeling fun.
