Coming off the hype of BarCamp Perth in early July was when people in Perth found the PodCamp proposal. This instantly attracted the attention of the Web and related new media industries in Perth.
Podcamp has been proposed by Jared Madden of Indimedia and Adam Purcell of redPIXEL. However at the time of release of the proposal there was not a lot of information about the background or credentials of the people behind Podcamp; well to people in Perth. So what do we know about the organisers. Let’s look at the simple things:

Today the finalists for the WA Web Awards for 2007 were released. This is the third year that the WAWAs have been presented, and this year I’m deeply humbled by a finalist nomination for this blog. This was very unexpected and considering the outstanding quality of the other finalists for the awards, I do feel a little out of place.

Don’t usually do these, but this one will be interesting. Kathryn Greenhill has tagged me into the 8 random things meme (and I can’t reuse my twitter posts). I was thinking 8 random things isn’t hard, till you have to do it. So what do you put in a list of 8 random things. Are we talking about 8 random things about me, maybe. When I think about that, this isn’t what this blog is about, so you’re not getting that Kathryn. But then again what about 8 random elements or items that are floating around or influencing me at present.
Well it’s been a little too long since this blog felt the cool breeze on its skin, and the warm caress of the sun on its tags. So its time shed those outer layers and enjoy the freedom this site was born with, a naked body.
No style, no design, just the raw information. April 5th is the Annual CSS Naked Day. On this day this site will be without any style. This is all in an effort to promote web standards and good semantic markup. Its a day when web sites can show us what they are made of, the raw unstyled information.
