And so OZIA 2007 starts after an evening of beer and thai food with Ruth, Nick, Stephen and Ajay. After a few pubs, we descended on Spice I am. This place is to die for. If you are in Sydney for Web Directions 2007 of OZIA 2007 or anything else go check this place out. Be warned it’s cash only and no booking. But its worth it, trust me.
So after much coffee we go headlong into OZIA:
Well I have been pimping a lot of events on the blog of late. Sorry about this, but it is high conference season here and we just have one conference after another at this time of year, to the point that there is about one a week related to the Web Industry. One conference that was after Web Directions 2006 last year is now before Web Directions South this year.
Yes OZ-IA is on again. The Australian Information Architecture conference. Not blogged much on IA of late, mainly due to a lack on focus on the topics from my part. Things may change on that front.
Miles Burke started the flickr meme for Web Directions South (which is about to close its Early Bird Pricing… so get in quick!). And now with the program out, we are planning a secret cloning project for the WebHatch Day.
With the days now counting down and the Perth Posse are ready to descend upon its own hotel. That’s right this year we have booked out almost a floor of a “dodgy” but quaint pub in Sydney, the Kirk on Harris.
We all know about twitter. if you have been reading this blog for a while you would have come across a few posts on twitter. A while back in May 2007 I wondered if we would be using twitter at Web Directions South 2007 or OZ-IA 2007 in September. Well with less than a month to go to these events it would appear that twitter is in for the long haul. Interesting and amusing things from twitter recently:
